103 Graduates in the Municipality of Concepcion under the BKSTP
           November 22, 2016, Concepcion, Misamis Occidental - A total of 103 trainees graduated from six (6) Qualifications in the Municipality of Concepcion, Misamis Occidental under the Barangay Kabuhayan Skills Training Program (BKSTP).  Eighteen (18) graduated from Animal Production (Poultry/Chicken) NC II, 19 graduated from Animal Production (Swine) NC II, 18 graduated from Process Food by Salting, Curing and Smoking Leading to Food Processing NC II, 18 graduated from Process Food by Sugar Concentration Leading to Food Processing NC II, 15 graduated from Produce Organic Concoction and Extracts Leading to Organic Agriculture NC II, and 15 graduated from Produce Organic Vegetable Leading to Organic Agriculture NC II.

           Of the five (5) Municipalities which received the Barangay Kabuhayan Skills Training Program in Misamis Occidental, the Program conducted in the Municipality of Concepcion has the most number of beneficiaries.  The program expects to graduate 54 trainees at an average cost of P6,000.  However, the Municipal Mayor, Honorable Juanidy M. Viña chose programs fitted to his LGU, being basically agricultural and the average cost of the program was lower than the budgeted cost resulting to a graduate of 103.

           Mayor Viña sincerely expressed his gratitude to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, through the leadership of Director General Guiling A. Mamondiong for the very effective program that reached even the farthest Municipality like Concepcion.  He expressed hopes that all graduates will use their skills for personal ventures and challenged them to engage in entrepreneurial endeavors for their own personal economic growth and stability.

           During the graduation ceremony, all graduates also received their training allowance.  Municipal Social Development Officer, Ms. Luzminda Pilapil congratulated the graduates who are mostly members of the 4Ps and Indigenous People group.

           Engr. Lee R. Catane, the OIC-Vocational School Administrator of the Oroquieta Agro-Industrial School presented the candidates for graduation which was followed by the confirmation by the TESDA Misamis Occidental Provincial Director, Miraluna Baje-Lopez, CSEE.

           The TESDA Provincial Director thanked the Oroquietal Agro-Industrial School for zealously ensuring that all training programs be provided with the best of their facilities and instructors.  PD Lopez also thanked the Local Government Unit Executive and staff for all the support to the program and congratulated all the graduates and encouraged them to use their skills productively.
